Q: Some customers reports that the current coil levels shown in VMMS do not match the actual stock in the machine. Is this a system issue?
A: Not necessarily. In most cases, this indicates that the machine is out of sync with the backend, rather than a fault in VMMS.
Before investigating further, please follow these steps:
Verify that the PAR Level for each coil is configured correctly. PAR Level FAQ: What is the PAR Level?
Ensure the machine has actually been filled to the configured PAR Level for every coil.
Perform a Collection in VMMS:
System → Machine → Select the IMEI → Collection
Do NOT manually update the current coil levels in VMMS.
Manually changing the current levels can make the machine and backend even more out of sync, making the issue harder to diagnose.
Exception – When is it acceptable to manually update the current level?
Manual updates should only be performed when the machine cannot be fully restocked to its configured PAR Level.
For the full exception rules and procedure, see: When is it acceptable to manually update the Current Level?
