Q: When can I manually update the Current Level in VMMS?
A: In general, you should not manually update the Current Level in VMMS, as this can make the machine and backend become out of sync.
The only exception is when the machine cannot be fully restocked to its configured PAR Level.
Example
PAR Level = 5
During restocking, only 4 products are available.
After the Collection/Restock process, VMMS will automatically reset the Current Level to 5.
Since the machine actually contains only 4 products, you should manually update the Current Level to 4.
Procedure
Perform a Collection on the machine.
In VMMS, go to System → Machine.
Wait until both the Last Report Time and Last Restock Time have been updated, confirming that the latest machine data has been received.
Click the Machine ID to open the Planogram.
Select the relevant Coil Number and update the Current Level to match the actual quantity in the machine.
Important
Manual updates should only be used to correct the Current Level after an incomplete restock.
They should NOT be used to:
Fix synchronization issues.
Compensate for incorrect DEX data.
Make VMMS match what you think the machine contains without first performing a Collection.
